Jesus Came to Live

If you ask the question, “why did Jesus come to earth?” most anyone would say “to die for our sins” or something along those lines. But I would like to argue that Christ came to earth for so much more. If His sole purpose to coming to earth was to die for our sins, then why did didn't He die sooner? Why did He heal people? Or talk to sinners? Why did He teach? If His sole purpose in coming to earth was to get us fixed, and die so that we can be forgiven. Then He did an awful lot of procrastinating.
I believe that Christ came to earth for so much more than to die for our sins. Yes, that was the major reason for Him coming. And I am not making light of Christ dying and taking the wrath of God upon Himself for my sins. But Christ did so much more than that. He showed us a new way of living. He sat with those in need, not those that looked good. He taught when anyone would listen, and even when He knew they wouldn't. He healed those that were sick and hurting. He set people free from bondage of sin and of satan. He showed us how to love, and not just the people who were easy to love, but even our enemies. His whole life, was a message. A message of how we should live our lives. And then His death, was the answer to how we can live that life. Jesus didn't come to earth just to die, but to live and to demonstrate how we should live.
